10 Tall People Problems

Struggles all around for tall people, I stand at 5 foot 11 inches. It’s not so much a problem now, but growing up tall, talk about being bullied. All the jokes and nicknames were always a part of growing up when you’re tall. Here’s some relatable things for me. If you are tall you will understand… If you’re not, well, you just won’t. I’ll ask my short friends for a short people one, lol. In the meantime, enjoy 🙂

10 Tall People Problems

10 Tall People Problems

1. “One Size Fits All”

When has anything ever say, “one size fits all” actually fit all? There’s only so much “all” can actually fit.

2. Trying to find pants big enough in length & width.

Dude, dude. Pants.. I hate shopping for pants.

3. Not fitting in the shower, shower head is too low.

I’ve only had this problem a few times, they actually make them higher these days or you can just big a new shower head.

4. Being mistaken for a basketball player.

I can’t begin to tell you how many times, I was asked when I was younger. I had a Duke hoodie on once, no lie, I was asked if I play for Duke.. One can wish right!

5. No leg space in cars, trains, school buses, planes.. etc

Ugh. My poor knees, when I sit in the back seat, it’s like a nightmare.

6. feet hanging off the edge of the bed.
A tall man: member of the Tall Person's Club

Are you the type of person who doesn’t like their feet hanging off the bed, because you feel like the ghost are gonna grab your feet? Or am I alone, lol.

7. Having your whole body under water at once.

My old house had a garden tub, I almost had all my body under the water/soap.

8. Get asked, “what’s the weather like up there?!?”

9. Going to buy shoes, just to find out they only go up to size 10.

10. taking pictures with shorter friends.

If you’re tall, what issues do you have?

  1. This made me chuckle. According to my OH I’m duck sized – not really short, I’m average height at 5ft 5!

  2. Yeah there are the advantages and disadvantages but i think there are more advantages of tall people. Example is they can pick up whatever on high levels. And if you wish to be basketball player, you’re fit in.

  3. 5′ 8″ is a perfect size in my opinion. I did want to be slightly shorter when younger but happy not to be too short or too tall.

  4. I love the weather picture for number 8, LOL! My boyfriend is 6’4 and I know he relates to a lot of this, and he hates how people always ask him for help because he is able to reach and they cannot. I am only 5’5.

    • I was gonna add this too, I should make a part two to this… I have strangers come up to me in the store and ask me to grab something for them, haha

  5. I definitely do not have the tall problem.. I am about average height.

hahaha!! I’m not tall–but two of my little sisters are 5’7″-5’8″, and we grew up in Malaysia, which means that they are extremely tall compared to most of society and the clothes available. My little cousin is 14 and 6′ and she does happen to play basketball.

  7. This is such a funny post but they do happen. I’ve seen my brother get irked coz the bed was too small for him.

  8. Lol, I’m 5’6 and I sometimes feel like a giant.

  9. Low shower heads are a pet peeve of mine! I got here via the Epic Friday Linky Party at http://www.momalwaysfindsout.com/. I followed you on bloglovin and twitter. Have a great weekend.

  10. Stopping by from Epic Friday. Great post and made me (a shorty) smile.

  11. Too funny! I’m 5’4″ My brother-in-law is 6’6″ and my sister is 5’4″ their personalities matched perfect, but they just didn’t look right standing next to each other. Luv the pic of the 3 girls together!

  12. It’s a lot more difficult fitting in when you are tall.

  13. Being a “short person” in my house it gets frustrating my hubby is 6′ my mom is 5’11” and they put things up where I can’t reach them ALL the time!(I’m only 5’5″

  14. haha I loved that episode of Big Band Theory

  15. As a short person, I’m trying to have sympathy. But every time I can’t reach something in my kitchen, a little sympathy dies. I’m 5’1.

  16. Oh my gosh, all so true! LOL I have all of these issues since I am 5’11. If I were any taller, I don’t know how I’d accommodate anything comfortably.

  17. edwardsmom says:

I will never have these issues. I’m 5’3″ – now we need a post on shorties like me lol

  18. I am 5’7, but my sister is 6’1. My Dad and brother are quite tall too (6’4 and 6’6)

  19. Lol, I’m only 5’2 so I have short people problems

  20. Those are some great pictures. I am pretty average at 5’4″.

  21. OM goodness, this was hilarious! My husband and I are both 5’3 so we have the opposite problem! lol

  22. Being tall sometimes can be really tough! I am kind of tallish and have had most of the problems you mention, especially: not having enough leg space anywhere I go!

This is funny, I could even relate to a few of it, haha!
