How to become a strong Godly woman | Proverbs 31

How to become a strong Godly woman | Proverbs 31

I was going through all the notes I’ve taken over the years in my bible. I kept notes on everything from as far back as 2005, from when I got the bible when I was saved. For whatever reason, I flipped to the chapter of Proverbs 31. Proverbs 31 is about being a Godly woman in Jesus. It was a sermon from 2006! I’m going to start this new series if you must call it. I will ever pick topics from the past or something that is on my mind for that week. I really want to bring more God into my life than I have in the past and while doing so, I want to share him with anyone willing to listen. So grab a cup of coffee and listen along. If you have a suggestion, just shoot me a comment and/or email and I will try to fit it into a blog post.

A strong woman works out every day to keep her body in shape, but a woman of strength kneels in prayer to keep her soul in shape. A strong woman isn’t afraid of anything, but a woman of strength shows courage in the midst of her fear. A strong woman won’t let anyone get the best of her, but a woman of strength gives her best to everyone. A strong woman makes mistakes and avoids the same in the future, but a woman of strength realizes life’s mistakes can also be God’s blessings and capitalizes on them. A strong woman walks sure footedly, but a woman of strength knows God will catch her when she falls. A strong woman wears the look of confidence on her face, but a woman of strength wears grace. A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the journey, but a woman of strength has faith that it is in the journey that she will become strong.

Godly woman – woman of strength virtue

What does it take to be a Godly woman?

  1. Personal relationship with Jesus.
  2. Applies God’s principle in loving and caring for her husband.
  3. Teacher her children the honor of God.
  4. Creates a hone environment that’s warm  and welcoming to family and friends.
  5. speaks with wisdom and has a sweet spirit. (doesn’t nag as often).
  6. Extends her hands to others so they can see & feel her amazing God.

Whatever happen to the saying, “real beauty comes from within?” Everything now a days is about the newest cream that will make you beautiful. The news and social media is all about how who gained this or who lost that. They show how you’re suppose to look and it’s ruining everything. What we need to remember of females, we’re all beautiful. Yes we all struggle with self worth and self love. We don’t think we’re pretty enough, we don’t think we’re skinny enough. Do you think any of those things get you into heaven? No. You’re beautifully made in God’s image.

What could you do to become more like the woman God wants you to be? If you are a man – what can you do to encourage women to be more godly?
