Christina Grimmie Tribute | #MusicMonday

I don’t know about you, but I think this past weekend was just completely horrible. I am still in shock. I wanted to make a blog post about Christina Grimmie.. Then Sunday happened and wow, all these innocent lives taken. I have friends who were mad at God. They ask, “Why would God let all these horrible things happen…” My honest answer is, “…I don’t know..” I don’t, we won’t.. It’s all part of God’s plan. What his plan is for everyone is different.

Christina Grimmie Tribute | #MusicMonday

I like to think he put Christina on this planet to let us listen to her amazing voice. God used her to get the word out about God. While we all try to gasp the fact that she is no longer with us. She posted this a few months ago.. She is right, we can’t lose our faith or turn on back on God, even if horrible things happen.

While, I’ve never met her (I’ve always wanted to, never had a concert close to me) I’ve always been cheering for her on the sidelines. When I heard the news, like anyone I didn’t want to believe it. You know how the internet likes to play tricks on you. Then, when we all found out it was true. Speechless, completely speechless. I knew she would be perfect for Music Monday. She was an amazing person person inside and out. She had so much love for her friends, family and fans. She was someone I always looked up to, she was always so happy, she was motivation to so many, inspiring, so inspiring!

Christina wrote a song, “I Bet You Don’t Curse God

Christina Grimmie Tribute | #MusicMonday

Here are two YouTubers who wrote original songs as a tribute to Christina, I love both, I wanted to share with you.

I lost it at, “Now that you have wings, you can teach the angels how to sing…”

“I still do not understand, but I know you’re in God’s hands. You’re in a better place smiling down on me while I wipe my tears away..”

grab your tissues for this ending… I just want to give Tyler a hug.

“Take a little moment to say I really really miss you and  I’ll be really honest you were never one I thought we’d lose.
So I’ll… I’ll take another moment to say I really really miss you and now we really can’t undo the time we could of should of used, so I’ll tell mom and dad I love them ’cause forever’s not far, if tomorrow’s not coming.”

Comments

  1. I’ve honestly never heard of Christina Grimmie until I read about what happened to her on Facebook. Although I know extremely little about her, I hope her family and friends can find comfort and strength from God through this trying time. Sounds like God gained a wonderful angel.

  2. Robin Masshole Mommy says:

I have never heard of this girl before. How sad that this happened to her at such a young age.

  3. Like the others, I had never heard of Christina before her tragic death. Like the other shooting this weekend in Orlando, it was a senseless tragedy. I hope something good can come out it.

  4. I actually had heard of her just because of The Voice but I don’t know her music. Regardless, no one should have died like she did. So sad.

  5. What a fantastic tribute, I had no idea who this is but now I want to learn more. I am all about new music to check out.

  6. Elizabeth O. says:

It’s been heartbreaking. She was such an amazing young woman and I still can’t believe this happened. As we were dealing with her tragedy, another one also occurred at the same place and it’s hard not to be affected. So many lives were lost last week, it’s devastating.

  7. Everything about Christina was amazing – her compassion, her love of music and her love for her faith, family and fans. Will never forget her – thanks for helping spread the word about how amazing she is and always will be <3

  8. Nicole Etolen says:

She was so young. I am so sad for what happened. She is so talented.

  9. Nicole Escat says:

Christina Grimmie is a talented lady. This is so sad, why would this happened to her at very young age.

  10. I was so heartbroken when I heard about this. So many bad things have been happening lately. She was such a talented young lady. My thoughts are with her family.

  11. I have seen many people abusing GOD for no particular reasons, even for bad weather. However, that is completely different thing from this one. I didn’t knew about this girl, but I just googled her name to know more; this is so sad :(. Yes, we should never stop trusting GOD even in bad times, because those times come to test our strength and faith.

  12. I loved her on the Voice. So very sad! My heart goes out to her family & friends!

  13. Very inspirational. I hope she comes near your place one day. God’s getting all the flak for all bad things happening and I just hope one day it ceases to be a mindset for most people.

  14. Honestly I never know much about Christina Grimmie & it is so sorry to hear about her loss in such a young age. She sounds like a talented person with amazing voice & her tweet is good enough to tell that God always has his own plans!

  15. Christina Aliperti says:

I have never heard of her before but I am so sad over what happened she should have had protection from security.

  17. Jan Lee says:

I don’t watch the show she was on, but it doesn’t limit my grief over the situation that ended her life. Senseless is all I can say 🙁

  18. Melissa Bernardo says:

This poor girl.. I feel so bad for her and her family. She seemed like an amazing person!

  19. Jerry Marquardt says:

This is a really great tribute song. I am glad to see that she is on a great path at such a young age.
