If you like to talk to tomatoes, if a squash can make you smile, if you like to waltz with potatoes up and down the produce aisle… Yup! I totally just sang that as I typed it out, if your family is anything like mine, we grew up on VeggieTales. We always watched it with friends, we sang it all the time. To this day, my mom will sing the songs to us to cheer us up. But besides the fact that VeggieTales has amazing songs, they have some great really great stories to teach your kids not only about God but every day lessons.

  1. Wow! I remember watching these vegetables when we were little. At school, the teachers used to play these videos to teach us about good values and right conduct. VeggieTales are so entertaining to watch. Kids for sure will be excited to know about the new movie Noah to be released in DVD.

  2. Veggietales! So cute – little vegetables running around talking. Lol, imagine. Okay so I just read Kristin’s comment above and I have no recollection of veggietales as a kid (but perhaps I’m way older than she is). Kinda reminds me of a play on names from one of the shows in the 80’s that I can’t put my finger on the name.

I wonder why it’s only coming out on DVD and not in theatres though? It looks like a cute movie after watching the trailer. Maybe because of the whole religion thing is all I can guess.

    • I don’t believe VeggieTales normally always comes out on DVD, unless it’s one of their bigger movies which was about 3 of them I think. VeggieTales came out 1993..

  3. I went to a private Christian school in junior high, and even us junior highers loved us some VeggieTales! 🙂 Like you, I can still sing the whole song, including songs from the episodes, like Silly Songs with Larry (“..cause you’re my cheeseburger, my lovely cheeseburger, I’ll wait for yo-ou, yes I’ll wait for yo-ou…”). Great memories! Anyway. Now that I have nieces and nephews of a good age to watch these, I’d love to buy the Noah’s Ark DVD! Thanks for this!

  4. I had no idea that Veggie Tales was still putting out new dvds!! I love the stories and morals that they DVDs teach kids! This new dvd would be perfect for Easter baskets this year!

  5. I am a huge fan of veggie tales! We used to watch in our house growing up, and my son watches it now! Even as an adult I think the show is hilarious!

  6. I have never seen a Veggie Tales episode, I’m seen the name a lot though. I’ll have to show them to my son, I bet he’d love them. The stories and morals they teach sound great for little ones.

  7. I’ve never seen Veggie Tales as I just missed that generation growing up– I was a Disney kid! 😀 But I think it’s crazy that they’re still making new episodes and movies. Also, isn’t Veggie Tales religious?

  8. I have never seen a Veggietales show or movie before (or heard any of the songs), but they seem really popular. I see a lot of bloggers reviewing DVDs and other branded things associated with them, and they look very colorful and positive. I’ve always loved the tale of Noah’s Ark; and from the look of the cover and trailer, it seems like it would really capture a child’s attention.

  9. I liek Veggie Tales. My youngest is almost too old so we’re getting the most of it that we can right now. 🙂

  10. I’ve always heard of Veggie Tales but never watched it myself. I just watched this trailer, it seems very cute. I like that its veggies and animals, great representation we can all get along.

Awww I miss watching these as kids! Veggie tales are still pretty popular today and its great! I will definitely tell my cousins about this since they love Veggie Tales! I love that you can pre-order, I find that with pre-orders it really makes it fun to expect and wait for it to come out. Thanks for sharing this with us!
