  1. Our house doesn’t have a pool and that was one of the things I wanted. How can I live in the south without a pool? Our next house will have one. I don’t care what I have to do to get one. Or at the very least we’ll need a community pool, even if it’s not as good as my own.

    Have a great weekend!

    1. I really wanted a basement, we opt out for 3 acres and a pool and a 1 story home.. i still want a basement, lol

  2. My best summer as a kid was going to Potawatomi Park in St. Charles, IL with my parents and brother. That was our vacation. There was a carnival that year and we got there early in the morning to grill our breakfast. Dad made eggs in a frying pan and they were delicious. We fished, canoe ride, got a ride on a paddle boat, went to the carnival, mom heated up some spaghetti she brought in a big pot on the grill, and we built sand castles with Mom, and we went swimming it was just the four of us as a family. We stayed there til dusk and roasted marshmallows. It was the best family quality time ever and I’ll never forget it.

  3. Ahhh, summer! Don’t you wish it were always summer? 🙂
My favorite summer memories were all my summers between 2003 – 2010. These were my happiest, most carefree, and craziest summers. Things changed after 2010.

  4. That gift shop looks like a lot of fun just walking through the mouth of a shark. Summer is always fun around my home. We like to keep busy!

  5. My best summer vaca as a kid was going to Colorado! We had some much fun in the mountains hiking and seeing all the different wildlife. To this day bc of that vacation I love to go on long nature hikes.
