Thanksgiving Break | #WeekendRecap

Thanksgiving Break | #WeekendRecap

I honestly can’t remember the last time I did this link up with Bella & the City, but then again, I haven’t had much of a life. So there’s that. Well besides this last weekend being Thanksgiving break, I actually had a really great weekend with friends and family. #WeekendRecap — Seriously it’s been a year since I did a Weekend Recap, lol. My bad.

First off, my dad and I went to Lynchburg, VA to meet John to get the kids. This was our first court order visitation, I think it went really well. Honestly it was weird having them around, we have gone this whole time with them not around, between the lack of Skype calls and actually seeing their faces. Not even a picture (remind me to request that with the Judge, lol). I just didn’t sleep at night, so I could cash in on more cuddles with them. Even though we just got them for 4 days, it was worth it. I missed them like crazy.

So it was really great being able to hangout with Lisa again. I first actually met her in person at the Tyler show in VA. She is an Au Pair in DC, she came to NC with her host family and I was able to hangout with her for 2 days. Which was awesome! We also did a skype chat with our other #TWfamily friends around the world.

It really was a last minute Skype chat with the #TWfamily. We had a total of 15 people who came and went. It was great to see all of them. We’re seriously scattered everywhere. We used to do these Skype chats monthly, we need to do it more often. It’s just hard to pick a time, when most of them are like 6 hours ahead of us on the east coast.

Thanksgiving was pretty good, I didn’t have a #TurkeyComa or anything like that. However, I was just happy to spend time with them. We tried to fit as many fun things into these 2 full days as we could. The weather was amazing in the 70s at the end of November, wont lie, it was amazing.

My sister and I took them to see The Good Dinosaur, which was a really great movie! We only took Jr, Hannah & Jacob. They did really great, Jacob got a booster and sat by himself, he’s too cute. He would laugh and kept saying, “awww awww” so adorable. I really recommend you check out the movie, it was worth the money for the tickets!

We cashed in on the amazing weather and did a lot of chalk art and played outside. We made a lot of snapchat videos and edited them to be all backwards, they kids loved making those.

Sadly on Sunday, we had to take the kids back. I hate having to give them back to their dad. But they get to come down again for Christmas break, which is a 9 day, we get them for. We already have a lot things planned. We created a bucket list. Cant wait to say the least.

What did you do this last weekend?
